The data controller for the English-language site (worldoftrade.pro) is World of Trade FZCO, registered in the United Arab Emirates with its head office at 413, Le Solarium Building, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE. Referred to below as “the Company” or “the Operator”.

This Policy is drafted in line with applicable UAE data-protection regulations and good-practice principles consistent with the GDPR. For visitors processed via our Russian operations (worldoftrade.pro/ru), the controller and applicable law are different — see the Russian-language version of this policy.

2. Data subjects and categories of personal data

The Company processes personal data of the following categories of data subjects:

Website visitors who submit a request via the contact form — first and last name, business email, phone number, employer name, role, and the content of the message.

Participants in open and corporate programs — first and last name, email, phone, company name, and role.

Site visitors — technical data automatically collected by the web analytics service: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, and session duration (see section 6 and the Cookies Policy for details).

The Company does not process special categories of personal data (racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious beliefs, health, biometric or genetic data).

3. Purposes and legal basis for processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

Handling inbound enquiries — responding to messages received via the contact form or by email. Legal basis: consent of the data subject and the necessity of taking steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract.

Organising and delivering programmes — participant registration, schedule management and operational communications. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

Programme updates and announcements — sending information, announcements and event invitations. Legal basis: consent of the data subject. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by emailing wot@worldoftrade.pro.

Web analytics — analysing site traffic and user behaviour to improve the website. Legal basis: consent of the data subject, expressed by continuing to use the site.

4. Data processing operations

The Company carries out the following operations on personal data: collection, recording, organisation, accumulation, storage, refinement (update, change), use, transfer (provision), blocking, deletion, and destruction. Processing is mixed (using both automated and non-automated means).

5. Retention periods

Personal data processed on the basis of consent is retained until consent is withdrawn or, in the absence of withdrawal, for three years from the data subject’s last interaction with the Company.

Personal data processed for the performance of a contract is retained for the term of the contract and for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law thereafter.

At the end of the retention period, personal data is destroyed or anonymised.

6. Disclosure to third parties

The Company does not sell or otherwise share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Disclosure is possible only in the following cases:

Hosting and infrastructure providers. The website is hosted with reputable infrastructure providers acting as data processors under corresponding agreements. Their role is limited to keeping the site online; they do not process personal data for their own purposes.

Web analytics. The site uses standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregated traffic patterns. Where third-party tools are used, data is processed in line with their respective privacy policies.

By legal requirement. The Company may disclose personal data to authorised state authorities where there is a lawful request to do so.

7. Security measures

The Company applies technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including: HTTPS for data in transit, least-privilege access controls, and regular monitoring of information security systems.

8. Rights of data subjects

Every data subject has the right to:

— obtain confirmation that their data is being processed and access the data held;
— require that personal data be corrected, restricted or erased if it is inaccurate, outdated, unlawfully obtained or no longer needed for the stated purpose;
— withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
— receive their data in a portable format where applicable;
— lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in their jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this Policy
